Whether you are listening to his UK Number 4 remix of My Head is a Jungle, or his take on Disclosure, Rudimental, Lana Del Rey, Sam Smith, Duke Dumont, Jodeci or his UK Number 1 version of “Look Right Through,” it is more than likely that you already know MK or Marc Kinchen. In truth, MK has actually been entertaining us all on the dancefloor since his remix of The Nightcrawlers came out on it’s own and then again through being sampled for Pitbull’s “Hotel Room” version more than a decade later from when the original MK version was released. Marc Kinchen’s talents go beyond that of just a classic house producer or remixer; he is an artist, producer, DJ, songwriter and an internationally respected name in the worlds of R&B and pop as well as Dance. MK has long pushed the boundaries of musical genres in ways that have earned him what some call legendary status.

As a teenager growing up in Detroit, MK was befriended by one of the iconic Techno originators, Kevin Saunderson. Kevin quicly took on the role of mentor and big brother, giving Marc the keys to his already infamous, Detroit KMS Studios. During those early years, MK chose to follow the path of Producer/Artist over that of a DJ. By staying behind the scenes in the studio, he was able to hone his craft. During this same time that Marc was working his magic at his mixing desk, a completely different story being told out in the clubs and dance charts as Marc’s music gained notoriety all over the World. One after the other, his productions and remixes were going top ten, top five and Number One over and over. As we see the sun setting on 2014, it is undeniable that MK has returned the roots of his craft as evidenced by scores of fantastic mixes and original productions. He has also earned a place as a world respected DJ. (Mixmag voted him as Number 4 on their top 100 DJS of 2014).

Currently, MK’s projects include making his own album for Columbia UK, and working on his new group Pleasure State, with Anabel Englund and Lee Foss. He is in the process of remixing his first co production with Rodney Jerkins for the Mary J, London Sessions album with the song, “My Lovng.” He is also re-launching his label, Area 10 with incredible stages at W R Fstvl , Cremefields and Parklife Festivals. An

To top it off, MK’s emergence as a world class DJ has him travelling the world at near record pace. His shows just this past year have taken him to Ibiza, Germany, London, all over the UK, Ireland, France, Spain, Denmark, Holland, Norway, Italy, Croatia, Belgium, Mexico, Chicago, LA, Denver, SF, NYC, Dallas, Vegas,Boston, Australia and even to Russia, and it looks like even more cities will be visited in 2015.

Kevin Saunderson is an American electronic music producer. At the age of nine he moved to Belleville, Michigan, a suburb of Detroit where he attended Belleville High School and befriended two students, De rrick May and Juan Atkins. Saunderson, with Atkins and May, (often called the "Belleville Three"), is considered to be one of the originators of techno, specifically Detroit techno. He is married to Sharmeela Lamarsha Saunderson.

Although frequently associated with Detroit, Kevin Saunderson spent the early years of his life in Brooklyn, New York, before moving to Belleville, Michigan, a rural town some 30 miles from Detroit. As teenagers attending Belleville High School, Atkins, May, and Saunderson were fans of DJ Charles "The Electrifying Mojo" Johnson and the pop, disco, and funk music he played. Atkins and May soon became serious about mixing others' music and creating their own, but Saunderson pursued other goals first, studying telecommunications and playing American football at Eastern Michigan University. Atkins had begun recording with Cybotron in 1981, but it was not until 1985 that May followed suit and made a record. Initially concentrating on becoming a DJ, Saunderson watched the six-month-long process as May completed "Let's Go;" he was inspired to create his own music.
